The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program helps individuals at high risk for type 2 diabetes adopt healthier lifestyles through small, measurable changes in eating habits, physical activity, and coping strategies. Over 25 sessions in a relaxed, group setting, participants aim to reduce body weight by 7% and increase physical activity to 150 minutes weekly. This evidence-based program is designed to reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes while improving energy and confidence.

LiveSTRONG® at the YMCA

LiveSTRONG® at the YMCA is a free, 12-week program tailored for cancer survivors to reclaim their wellness during or after treatment. This evidence-based initiative empowers participants with personalized strength and conditioning exercises, while fostering a supportive community. Sessions are held twice weekly and focus on improving energy, confidence, and overall health.

Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program

This four-month program supports adults with hypertension in managing their blood pressure through self-monitoring, personalized consultations, and nutrition education. Participants receive guidance from trained Healthy Heart Ambassadors and learn techniques to reduce blood pressure and improve heart health.

EnhanceFitness

EnhanceFitness is an evidence-based group exercise program for older adults designed to boost activity levels, strength, balance, and flexibility. With certified instructors and adaptable exercises, participants can enjoy heart-healthy workouts, strength training, and stretching at their own pace in a supportive community.
