THE FAMILY’S ROLE IN THE PRESCHOOL PROGRAM
Families can support their preschooler by giving them opportunities to cook, pour their own drinks, clean up their own spills, put their own dishes away, and sort silverware. Providing these experiences helps children understand the impact that they have on the community around them and can make stronger connections between home and school.
Families can support their preschooler’s movement by providing close-toed shoes and clothes that allow children to move, jump, climb, run, skip and hop.
Families can encourage their child’s discoveries by asking many questions and continually communicating with the classroom teachers to see what they are working on in class.
We ask that families develop a respectful relationship with our teachers through open, reciprocal conversations about your child in our care.
