The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne is partnering with Fort Wayne Curling Club to offer two programs:
YMCA ROOKIE CURLING LEAGUE
Discover the Olympic sport of Curling with the YMCA! Start with a ‘Learn to Curl’ session where you’ll master the basics—delivering a stone, sweeping, and understanding the rules. Then, dive into a game, with each following session featuring another game as part of a 6-week league to crown the YMCA Curling Champions!
Sign up solo, with a partial team, or a full team of four. No equipment, experience, or prior knowledge needed—just bring your sense of humor! Open to individuals of all abilities, with accommodations available to ensure everyone can participate.

YMCA ADAPTIVE CURLING PROGRAM
The Fort Wayne Curling Club’s Special Needs Curling Program offers individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in the Olympic sport of curling. This program promotes sportsmanship, socialization, and physical activity during the winter months in a supportive environment, with adaptations to meet each participant’s needs.
Thanks to grants from the AWS Foundation and Torres Behavioral Health, the program is completely free for anyone with a disability. Individuals with solely physical disabilities are encouraged to join the YMCA Rookie Curling League at no cost or to contact the club for more information. Sessions for individuals with intellectual disabilities are held on Sunday afternoons, and while family members and peers are welcome to participate, it is not required. No prior experience, equipment, or knowledge of curling is necessary.
