2024 Jackson R. Lehman Swim Lessons
The YMCA Swim Lessons program, serving as America's Swim Instructor for over a century, empowers individuals and families to acquire essential swimming skills, fostering strength and confidence. Starting January 2024, the Jackson R. Lehman Family YMCA will conduct monthly swim lesson sessions, diverging from the seasonal structure. These sessions, available on both weekends and weekdays, comprise 8 lessons aligned with specific swim stages, facilitating a progressive learning path. The expanded options aim to enhance the overall impact and experience for students and their families.
Benefits of new schedule include:
- Students begin with those skills they are ready to learn.
- Students achieve new skills often and progress through the stages at their pace, which helps them build self-confidence.
- Students have fun and develop friendships as they get to know one another through group activities.
- Students gain an important life skill that will keep them safe.
